The Tau Sigma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is the first international fraternal organization to be founded on the campus of a historically black college. Omega Psi Phi was founded on November 17, 1911, at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
The founders were three Howard University undergraduates, — Edgar Amos Love, Oscar James Cooper and Frank Coleman. Joining them was their faculty adviser, Dr. Ernest Everett Just.
The Tau Sigma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc was organized
on the campus of Arkansas A.M.&N. in 1943 as the 65th chapter of the fraternity and the first Greek lettered fraternity on the campus of Arkansas A.M.&N. now known as the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. The charter line of 11 was initiated on March 11, 1945.
